Barack Obama has appointed US Vogue editor Anna Wintour and SATC lead Sarah Jessica Parker - amongst other high-profile American figures - to the 25-person Arts and Humanities committee.
Chaired by Michelle Obama, the eclectic round-up of heavyweights will be called on to encourage cultural partnerships and projects, improve education and economical development in the arts. Other than her own political backing during the presidential election (and hella fundraising), Wintour probably earnt points when she made the First Lady the Vogue coverstar in March... Hiring the Vogue ed? He's such a dude. As a side note - happy birthday Anna; 60 and as fierce as ever.
