The Watsons in Burberry

The Watsons in Burberry

Emma Watson is the face of Burberry's Spring/Summer 2010 campaign, which is fresh in stores and online now.

The 19-year-old Harry Potter star is joined by her (very bloody hot) younger brother Alex. Wait, younger? In my eyes, she's teeny tiny Hermione, how old is he? Apparently, he's 17 and I think that's too young for him to be hot. He's cute, then.

Alex Watson, Emma Watson and George Craig (some generic indie singer from some generic indie band - sums up cool, diverse "Young Britain", you see?)

This is the second campaign Emma's fronted for the British brand; the adverts cover all three Burberry brands: Prorsum, London and Brit which were shot by Mario Testino and styled by the wonderful Christopher Bailey. Christopher spoke of Emma's "classic, effortless beauty" and "incredible talent", Emma enthused about how "special it was working with Mario and Christopher again" and her brother rhapsodised about how excited he was on the shoot. Whole lot of happy back-slapping there!

I prefer her first Burberry campaign from last season (above) which was darker, moodier and edgier ergo much cooler. I know it's from the SS10 collection, but I'd never drop £600+ on a pastel-coloured trench even if it does have beautiful ruched sleeves. Frosty lilac for outerwear should be confined to editorial pages because in reality you'd be terrified to wear it outside.

This was Alex Watson's first modelling assignment but he has just joined Select's books so I'm sure we'll be seeing more of him.
